On Saturday the 2nd, meet at the State of Vermont Fishing Access on Willow Brook Road in Sudbury (access to Otter Creek). Take VT Route 73 west from Brandon 3 1/2 miles to Willow Brook Rd. Access parking lot 200 yards in, on left. This is a beautiful spot on the Creek with plenty of parking. Jim Moore will guide us along some historic spots along the Crown Point Road in the area. Depending on the group’s interest and ambition other destinations may include: Miller Spring, Punk Hole, Cold Spring, Willow Brook Cemetery and a few wilder tracts where the Old Military Road has not been visited in generations. Bring water and a lunch for a pleasant day of rambling and Vt History. Skilled guide Jim Moore will lead what will be the singular trek along the documented route of the Crown Point Military Road for the 2017 field season. Don’t miss it!
