On Saturday the 13th, at 1:00 pm, there will be a new bronze plaque unveiled at the Crown Point State Historic Site. The plaque will mark the point of origin for 29 cannon that were hauled from Crown Point to Boston. The ceremony will be held on the museum lawn, overlooking Lake Champlain. Re-enactors will be a part of the day’s activities. An outdoor reception of light refreshments, under a tent, will follow, rain or shine. Immediately after the reception, a short hike will be led on the Vermont side of the lake in Bridport. More details of the hike will be released prior to the event.
